Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). It is held four times a year in the month of February, May, September and December. Any national B-School can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. Minimum qualification to appear for the test is graduation. The candidates who have completed their graduation in any of the streams like science, commerce and arts can apply for the exam. The candidates who are in the final year of the graduation can also apply for the exam. The candidates who have a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation can apply for the test (45% marks for the SC/ST candidates). The NRI candidates can also appear for the test. There is no age limit to appear for the MAT exam. The candidates of any age can appear for this entrance test also there is no attempt limit for the examination.
Exam Pattern
The exam consists of total 200 questions divided into 5 sections. These five sections are:

  1. Language Comprehension
  2. Mathematical Skills
  3. Data Interpretation and Sufficiency
  4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
  5. Indian and Global Environment

Each section carries 40 marks making it a total of 200. Time limit is 150 mnts. For every wrong answer ¼ marks are deducted.
